The Bench

Specialists.
By firm size.

Each advisor embeds with firms at a specific stage, they speak the operational language of the stage they serve, and they only take one engagement at a time. That's why the bench is always full.

Heads up: today's bench is deepest in personal injury. If you're in family, immigration, or employment law, tell us on the waitlist, we're adding specialists to the bench in that order.

How it works

Fractional, not freelance.

An advisor engagement is a formal fractional CMO role. They're embedded with your team on a defined cadence, with deliverables and accountability, not a consulting deck handed over once a quarter.

01 · DIAGNOSTIC

First 30 days

Your advisor does a full audit of your marketing stack, channels, spend, attribution, org, vendors, creative. Delivered as a written strategic read with prioritized gaps and a 90-day plan.

02 · EMBEDDED

Months 2+

Weekly working session with your team. Monthly strategy review with leadership. Slack access between sessions. They show up to your Google Ads account, not just your Zoom calls.

Where the real work happens

03 · QBR

Every quarter

Formal QBR with your leadership. What moved, what didn't, what's next. Decision on renewal. Firmatics data platform + Intelligence layer included at no extra cost during the engagement.

What's included in an engagement

Dedicated advisor, no shared engagements
Weekly 90-min working session
Monthly strategy review with leadership
Quarterly business review + re-planning
Direct Slack access Mon–Fri
Firmatics Community & Intelligence bundled
Custom benchmarks & competitive teardowns
Vendor selection, negotiation, & kickoff

Why we cap it

One advisor. One firm per active seat.

A fractional CMO who's juggling five firms isn't fractional, they're spread thin. Our advisors each take one engagement at a time in their stage. That's how we can promise they show up to your ad accounts, not just your calls.

When a seat opens, the top firm on the waitlist gets first right of refusal. No rotation games. No "enterprise plan" that magically buys line-cutting.

FAQ

Common questions.

How long is the typical wait?
60–120 days depending on fit. Solo & Boutique and Enterprise lanes move faster (shorter engagement cycles). Growing and Scale lanes have longer queues because those engagements tend to run 12+ months.
Can I see the advisor bios?
Yes, real names, firms they've built, verifiable track record. Shared under NDA once you're on the waitlist. We keep bios private publicly because our advisors protect their current engagements.
What does an engagement cost?
Custom-priced by fit and scope. Range: low-5-figures per month for Solo & Boutique, mid-5-figures for Scale, 6-figures for Enterprise / PE platforms. Community and Intelligence are bundled at no additional cost during the engagement.
Can I pay to skip the line?
No. We run a strict first-in, first-out queue per active seat. If we let firms buy their way ahead, every firm would try, and the list would mean nothing.
What if I can't wait?
Join Community ($2,000/mo) in the meantime, you'll get a monthly strategy session with a senior legal marketing operator, the weekly briefs, and the quarterly Advisors roundtable. It's not a replacement for a fractional CMO, but it's the best high-frequency signal while you wait.
What if my firm size doesn't fit an advisory lane cleanly?
Pick the lane closest to your current stage. We'll confirm fit when we review your waitlist application and move you if needed. Rapid-growth firms often graduate mid-engagement, the advisor handoff is structured, not a rebuild.
Will we ever expand the bench?
Slowly. Adding an advisor means adding a seat, which means another firm served. But we won't dilute quality for scale. The bar is decades of operator experience at the right stage, vetted by current advisors, with a track record we can point to in writing.
